Englewood's Finest is the debut solo effort by Olskool Ice-Gre. The project was created during a transitional period in the artists life being that he'd recently taken up residence on the east coast. At the time of this recording, Olskool was live in personal assistant and Head of Business Affairs to his buddy Kanye West. The creative bug struck him as he listened to several tracks created by Kanye's cousin Devo Springsteen. Kanye taught Olskool how to work his equipment just good enough to record himself so between down time in Kanye's Hoboken, NJ condo and Devo's New York apt (where he and John Legend were roommates), Englewood's Finest: A Good Guy From A Bad Block was born.
